Now, most of you ladies out there probably will agree that I’m late on the band wagon with this one. The Toms band wagon, that is. Better late than never, I say! I love shoes. I have always loved shoes. Much to my sweet, Puerto Rican husband’s dismay I really don’t wear heels anymore. The only exception, however, is wedges. So I wear a lot of flats and sandals.
I first discovered Toms in a most random of places {Las Vegas} when I was shopping with my parents. A store had some Toms on sale. I hardly ever pass up a good sale, so I purchased my first pair of Toms probably a good 5 years ago would be my guess. Not only do I love how they look and the comfort level, but I also love the “buy a pair of shoes and they give a pair of shoes to a child in need” thing. That little tug on the heart strings can help justify paying the $48-$100 or so for the pair of shoes, in my opinion. Disclaimer: Seriously, please don’t get me wrong! I love a good cause and opportunities to help people and provide for needs and to ministries.
Now, to get back on track. Oh yes! So, I’m sure you guessed what’s coming next: TJ Maxx happened. I just discovered a pair of Toms at TJ Max within the last 6-8 months or so, a super cute pink and white pair. Needless to say I was thrilled to see the price: $29.99! Yes, you read that right, $29.99 for a pair of {authentic} Toms. And I honestly thought that was going to be a one time treasure find, until a couple of weeks ago.
Lately, I’ve been embracing nautical accents in my apparel such as my anchor Bella Jack necklace here. So I got excited about this pair of women’s university stripe slip-ons in red for $29.99. They add a little extra summer, nautical touch to my outfits!
Here are price comparable’s from other sources on this same pair of Toms:
With Ebay, I noticed the prices definitely vary for whatever reason, but I picked the most consistent price for the size shoe I purchased. Based on these prices compared to the price I paid, $29.99 . . . I my savings range between 40%-45% for a pair of Toms I purchased from TJ Maxx. Not too shabby if I do say so myself!
Have any of you been able to find Toms on your TJX store shopping escapades? As always, happy shopping!
